Marvel vs Capcom 3 listed for Vita by Amazon France
Amazon France has listed on its website Marvel vs Capcom 3 for a release on PlayStation Vita. This seems to only mention just the vanilla version that released ages back in February, and not the Ultimate edition that’s releasing in November. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but chances are you’re likely to hear something in Germany next week at gamescom or at Tokyo Game Show next month.

Ono keen on Vita features for Street Fighter x Tekken
Street Fighter x Tekken will take full advantage of the Vita’s feature set when it comes to the portable console.

“The really cool thing about PS Vita, of course, is the wealth of new features: Wifi, 3G, GPS, the gyroscope, and touch panels on both sides,” producer Yoshinori Ono told the US PS Blog at EVO.
“There are all sorts of cool things that we can do with those. We want to take advantage of that and really encourage people to get out into the world with their PS Vita and play Street Fighter X Tekken.”
Ono’s also keen on the Vita’s capacity for continuous, cross-platform play with the Xbox 360.
“And we’re looking at ways to link to the PS3 version as well to get you into the habit of leading a double-life of Street Fighter X Tekken,” he explained.
“When you’re out of the house, you play it on PS Vita and then you come home, turn on your PS3 and keep going.”
Street Fighter x Tekken releases on major consoles in March next year, but it’s uncertain when the Vita version will launch.

505 Games Clarifies Press Release, Vita Fall Release Window “Only Speculative”
Earlier thit week, 505 Games’ press release got quite a bit of attention when it alluded to a fall release for the PlayStation Vita. According to the release, the developer’s upcoming title Supremacy MMA will launch on Sony’s new handheld this fall. Naturally this caused quite a stir as PlayStation fans took this to be confirmation that the PSV will in fact launch by year’s end. However, 505 has released a statement clarifying that the release window ”is only speculative”.
According to Sony, ”at least one” territory will see the console before 2012. There’s little reason to doubt that Japanese gamers will be among the first to get their hands on the shiny new handheld, though a fall 2011 release in other territories is still a possibility. Word has it that the UK will likely see the game early next year, with North American gamers possibly getting it a bit earlier before Christmas.
Naturally, Sony does not comment on rumor and speculation, so it looks like we’ll have to wait until gamescom where we’ll hopefully get a firm release date.

BlazBlue producer: “Now is the time for fighting games”
Street Fighter IV has opened the way to a resurgence of the fighter genre, according to Arc System Works’ Toshimichi Mori.
“Thanks to Street Fighter IV, people are playing fighting games a lot more than the past,” the BlazBlue producer told Siliconera.
” … Games trends are cyclic. RPGs, for example, can be really popular at one time and then come back later on. Action games, shooting games are like this too. Now is the time for fighting games.”
BlazBlue doesn’t have the immediate recognisability of Capcom’s fighters, but it’s a highly-respected franchise among genre fans, hailing from the same stables and sharing many similarities with the Guilty Gear series.
“We have been making fighting games for a long time and we’re always going to compete with Capcom to make better games,” Mori noted. “We hope the players will enjoy the all of these games.”
The latest games in the BlazBlue series is the upcoming 3DS and Vita title, currently called BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II Plus.

The “timing was right” for Infamous’s Cole in Street Fighter x Tekken
Capcom is “excited” about featuring Cole from InFamous in Street Fighter x Tekken.
“Discussions between Sony and Capcom came to [the decision to feature Cole as an exclusive]. They were looking for a character and Capcom got excited about Cole,” Capcom’s Seth Killian told Siliconera.
“It seemed like the timing was about right with Infamous 2 coming out around this time and it seemed a character that had a lots of possibilities, in terms of gameplay.
“Obviously, there is a big range of moves and I think we fell in love with the electric tornado like everyone else should [have]. There was his shockwave in Infamous 2 and we liked that, as well.”
Cole will feature in the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of the game. Exclusive Xbox 360 characters have still yet to be announced.

Street Fighter x Tekken visuals for PS3, Vita “pretty much identical”
You've all geard it before that Street Fighter X Tekken will be coming to the Vita aswell and with the ability to play against each other (Vita vs. PS3), but this is a first to hear from Yoshinori Ono
“Right now, because we haven’t finished tuning and optimising everything, the frame rate occasionally will stutter. We’re looking to fix that. But the actual visuals themselves, the actual textures and everything, look pretty much identical. It’s virtually a one-to-one match at this point.”
Tekken creator interested in PS Vita possibilities
Katsuhiro Harada, the father of Tekken, doesn’t have anything in the works for PS Vita, but he’s intrigued by the possibility of GPS-based features for the fighter.
The Tekken creator would like to use the ghost feature from there Tekken games (wich has there own ranking and play more human-like) and use it in a PlayStation Vita version. The build-in GPS could help people find those "ghosts" and challenge them to see who is the true King of Iron Fist.
“We have so much Tekken at the moment … Even though there’s a list of things I would like to do, and Vita is one of them, it’s hard to do that at this point. But I’m interested in the hardware,”
