PS Vita RAM hasn't been reduced, says report

According to whispers from a ‘Sony Japan source,’ the PlayStation Vita has not been subjected to a reduction in memory capacity.

Despite this, it’s worth pointing out that Sony itself has never officially confirmed whether the handheld would support 512MB or 256MB.

Internet rumblings however suggested that Sony’s new slab was intended to pack 512MB, while rumors doing the rounds recently suggested the memory had been slashed in half.

Furthermore, Novarama’s Dani Sanchez-Crespo commented that any potential reduction in RAM “won’t affect us,” and suggested a cut would be “good for developers.”

PS Vita is due out in at least one major territory by the end of the year.
